MANZANILLO INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL (MIT) is a container port located east of the Panama Canal entrance in Manzanillo Bay, on the Atlantic Ocean. MIT plays a crucial role in the global cargo handling system due to its strategic location and its involvement in the transportation network of the world’s major shipping lines. This port terminal connects approximately 125 countries through container transshipment operations.
We have developed a pricing model and a competitiveness tool for MIT. This solution enables terminal analysts to enhance their pricing strategy and calculate the port’s competitiveness on each route within the transportation network of different shipping lines. With this tool, MIT can increase its revenue on routes where it is more competitive and adjust its prices to retain customers on routes where its competitors excel.
